Job summary

Experis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a major digital transformation programme. Based in Telford, the role is 2 days onsite and 6 months in duration, with a daily rate of £425–£460 under inside IR35. You will drive quality across the SDLC, champion automation, and support testing as a shared team responsibility.

You will design automated tests, implement testing strategies, and promote a culture of quality within agile Scrum teams, contributing to TDD/BDD adoption and CI/CD automation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering automated testing within Agile Scrum teams.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience working in CI/CD environments.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring.
• Experience with GitLab and Git-based workflows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions.
• Implement testing strategies aligned with modern Quality Engineering practices.
• Promote a quality-first culture across development teams.
• Support the implementation of TDD and BDD.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Apply risk-based testing to maximise coverage and reduce delivery risk.
• Create and manage test data and environments.
• Support various testing activities: functional, integration, system, performance, accessibility, and security.
• Analyse requirements and designs to define testing solutions.
• Coach and mentor team members to build testing capability across the engineering team.
• Collaborate with developers through pair programming.
