Job description

Job Description: Quality Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The role involves ensuring quality standards are met throughout our manufacturing processes, particularly in the automotive or aerospace industries.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drawings & specifications: initial review, recording, and passing off as appropriate.
  2. Complete certificates of conformity and submit to clients.
  3. Prepare and complete 8Ds, SCARs, root-cause analysis, and 5Ys when necessary.
  4. Suggest and implement appropriate countermeasures (e.g., Poka Yoke).
  5. Gather information, complete, and submit PPAPs for approval (including APQPs, PFMEAs).
  6. Conduct system audits according to the schedule matrix.
  7. Manage and execute CMM report requests from customers/management as directed.
  8. Propose and implement cost-saving and scrap reduction ideas as directed.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role within the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Essential: Experience with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to contribute to the PPAP process.
  • Proficient in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and CMM.
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Experience with plastic injection moulding.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification and experience.
  • Internal Auditor qualifications and experience.
