Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. The role involves various responsibilities related to quality management and process improvement in the automotive or aerospace industry.

  1. Ensure initial drawings and specifications are completed, recorded, and passed off appropriately.
  2. Complete certificates of conformity and submit them to clients.
  3. Prepare and analyze 8Ds, SCARs, perform root-cause analysis, and 5Ys when necessary.
  4. Suggest and implement appropriate countermeasures (e.g., Poke Yoke).
  5. Gather information, complete, and submit PPAPs (including APQPs, PFMEAs) for approval.
  6. Conduct system audits according to the schedule matrix.
  7. Manage and execute CMM report requests from customers and management as directed.
  8. Propose and implement cost-saving and scrap reduction ideas as directed.
Your Skills and Experience - Quality Engineer
  • Experience in a similar role within the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Essential: experience with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to contribute to the PPAP process.
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and CMMs.
Desirable (but not essential) - Quality Engineer
  • Experience in plastic injection moulding.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience is advantageous.
  • Internal Auditor qualifications and experience are advantageous.
