Job summary

TipTopJob in Wellingborough is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation, focusing on maintaining and improving product and process quality through close collaboration with production teams, customers and suppliers.

The role includes APQP/PPAP, NPI, 8D and root-cause investigations, SPC/MSA, FMEA and GD&T, with a focus on continuous improvement and preventing recurring issues. A competitive package is on offer in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with machined components or automotive or high-volume precision engineering.
• An HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support APQP, PPAP and NPI activities.
• Lead and support 8D and root-cause investigations.
• Monitor quality, scrap and non-conformance; drive corrective actions.
• Support supplier, product and process audits.
• Develop and maintain FMEAs and Control Plans.
• Carry out SPC and MSA activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Work with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and prevent recurring problems.

A GBP 40,000 : A GBP 45,000 + quarterly bonus/pension/early finish Fridays

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment and play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality.

Working closely with production, customers and suppliers, youll be involved in NPI, problem solving, quality improvement and auditing, helping to identify issues, implement effective solutions and continually improve manufacturing performance.

Youll Be Responsible For

• Supporting APQP, PPAP and NPI activities.
• Leading and supporting 8D and root:cause investigations.

About You

Youll have a background in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience of machined components, automotive or another high:volume precision engineering setting.

Working Hours and Benefits

Monday:Thursday: 08:00:17:00

Friday: 08:00:14:00
