Job Title: Quality Engineer

Work Schedule: Onsite - Tewkesbury, GBR

We pride ourselves in our excellent working culture and due to continued, sustainable growth we are recruiting for a proactive, experienced Quality Development Engineer to join our Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury.

Key Functions:

  1. Support APQP integration into the Moog business system.
  2. Support the APQP implementation in new business programs.
  3. Generate and maintain internal and customer PPAP activities.
  4. Apply Zero Defect techniques across new and existing production programs.
  5. Collaborate with the site quality team and wider business to support production processes, emphasizing thorough investigation and robust corrective actions.
  6. Support cross-functional teams in processing non-conformances and corrective actions as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in the integration of APQP into Moog's NPI process.
  2. Engage in advanced quality planning activities.
  3. Ensure customer requirements are incorporated into NPI processes.
  4. Provide quality and administrative support as needed.
  5. Attend customer-facing meetings.
  6. Integrate lessons learned into APQP activities.
  7. Coordinate and monitor PPAP activities, including documentation review and reporting.
  8. Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing and A&T processes.
  9. Interact with Quality Engineering, Production Engineering, Design, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and A&T representatives.
  10. Support compliance audits from regulatory bodies such as BSI, CAA, and EASA.
  11. Address corrective actions raised during customer and compliance audits.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Exposure to APQP and PPAP, with at least 2 years of experience in general APQP and PPAP application.
  2. Experience of working in an AS9100 environment.
  3. Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA (including PFD, CP, per AS13004).
  4. Knowledge and practical experience with Process Control.
  5. General knowledge of MSA application.
  6. Experience in supporting NPI.
  7. Project management skills would be an advantage.
  8. Effective communication with external and internal customers.
  9. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize activities and effectively manage their workload to ensure progress is maintained.
