Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Engineer for a permanent role based in Derby. You will act as the customer and supplier interface for quality matters, lead quality activities in a logistics centre, and drive continuous improvement through CAPA and root cause analysis.

The role requires experience with PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA and strong engineering/manufacturing background. The position offers an ASAP start with standard hours and progressive responsibilities in a highly regulated

Qualifications

• Experience with customers or customer quality.
• Proven experience in root cause investigations (8D's, 5Whys, CAPA).
• Engineering & manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA.

Responsibilities

• Act as a customer & supplier interface and focal contract point for customers for all quality related matters including customer complaints, new product implementation, and quality performance reviews.
• Lead day-to-day quality activities of an integrated logistics centre (Warehouse) to ensure accurate management of customer returns, supplier returns, and quality wall inspections.
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to address product non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inspection and testing protocols for in-process and final product verification using precision measurement tools and techniques.
