Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Engineer for a permanent role in the Derby area. The role involves acting as the customer and supplier interface for quality issues, leading quality activities in a logistics/warehouse environment, and driving continuous improvement through CAPA and PPAP/APQP practices.

• Experience with customers or customer quality
• Proven experience in root cause investigations (8D’s, 5Whys, CAPA)
• Engineering & Manufacturing experience
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA

Responsibilities

• Acting as a customer & supplier interface and focal contract point for customers for all quality related matters including customer complaints, new product implementation, quality performance reviews
• Leading day to day quality activities of an integrated logistics centre (Warehouse) to ensure accurate management of customer returns, supplier returns and quality wall inspections
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to address product non-conformances and drive continuous improvement
• Develop, implement, and maintain inspection and testing protocols for in-process and final product verification using precision measurement tools and techniques
