We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist engineering business in Stockport.
This is a role suited to someone with quality engineering experience within a technical manufacturing environment, as you will be supporting production, managing non-conformances and using quality tools to improve products and processes.

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
- Developing and monitoring quality assurance and control processes
- Managing non-conformances through root cause, containment and corrective actions
- Driving continuous improvement using A3, 8D, PFMEA, DMAIC and Lean techniques
- Supporting APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, FMEA and Control Plan activity
- Carrying out internal and external process and system audits
- Providing hands‑on quality support and guidance to Production teams
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System
- Creating and updating quality procedures, work instructions and SOPs
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and Quality Assurance representatives
- Supporting product conformity and release to customers
What will you need?
- Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering or Quality
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Working knowledge of A3, 8D, Lean and 5S
- Previous experience in a similar Quality Engineering role
- Qualified Internal Auditor
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant quality accreditations
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards
- Experience dealing with customers, suppliers and accreditation bodies
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Cpk, R&R, SPC, FMEA and Control Plans
