Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to support aerospace/Power & Energy manufacturing near Redditch. You will focus on NPI, FAIRS, and documenting reviews, guiding parts from concept to production through the full lifecycle.

The role requires knowledge of aerospace quality standards and manufacturing processes such as EDM, laser, welding, and hydraulics. Commutable from Redditch and surrounding areas with a bonus scheme and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience applying aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
• Involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects is desirable.
• Ability to review and interpret manufacturing documents and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAIRS activities and quality records for new parts.
• Review engineering and production documentation for compliance.
• Own parts through production from concept to finished manufacture.

• Job Title: Quality Engineer - Aerospace/Power & Energy
• Environment: Manufacturing
• Location: near Redditch
• Pay: £50,360
• Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week
• Holidays/Benefits: Bonus scheme, salary sacrifice pension, Life assurance, sick pay, 25 days holiday + bank holidays,

Overview:
With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Quality Engineer to join the team. You will be working closely with the Manufacturing Manager tailored towards NPI and Aerospace. As part of the quality team you will have a focus around new products coming into the business, doing the FAIRS, reviewing the documents, and owning the part through production and the full cycle from concept to completed manufacture.

The ideal candidate / Quality Engineer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience working with any of the following processes - EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, welding or forming metals with hydraulics presses beneficial
• Previously worked in a quality focused role to aerospace standards AS9100

Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
