Apex Resource Management Ltd in Oldbury is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance, quality control and continuous improvement across its manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the Technical & Quality Director, the Quality Engineer will manage quality activities relating to customers, suppliers, products and processes, and help develop the Quality Management System toward IATF and ISO 14001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Quality engineering experience within automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of IATF requirements.
  • Knowledge of VDA 6.3 audit policies and requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality policies and system requirements.
  • Experience using Quality Core Tools and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of inspection techniques for plastic mouldings.
  • Experience supporting NPI, APQP and PPAP documentation.
  • Understanding health, safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure robust quality control and quality assurance within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Review and analyse Non-Conforming Product daily.
  • Lead operational teams through root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Apply continual improvement techniques to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Manage and develop the Quality Management System.
  • Support the organisation's progression towards IATF and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Use Quality Core Tools and other quality methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with NPI and APQP documentation, including PPAP documentation.
  • Lead site audits covering quality systems, manufacturing processes and products.
  • Lead customer and external audits.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of quality policies, procedures and controls.

Role Summary

An established UK coatings specialist is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance, quality control and continuous improvement across its manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the Technical & Quality Director, the Quality Engineer will manage quality activities relating to customers, suppliers, products and manufacturing processes. The role will also support the continued development of the Quality Management System, including progression towards IATF and ISO 14001 standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure robust quality control and quality assurance within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
