Job summary

JRL Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Modular Quality Team in the East Midlands. You will lead quality checks during new product introduction, audit processes, investigate defects, and drive improvements to ensure products meet standards and customer requirements.

Requires 5+ years in quality engineering, an engineering degree, and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and quality tools is desirable. The role involves collaboration with production and other teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a Quality Engineering role.
• Degree in Engineering or similar subject.
• Background in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality standards / Lean Six Sigma desirable.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Familiar with NPI, FMEA, SPC and APQP.
• Good communication and ability to lead.
• Experience with Field View software is a bonus.

JRL Group – Quality Engineer

JRL Group’s East Midlands facility is located beside the A1 in Carlton on Trent, between Retford and Newark.

We are part of a large, established group with over 14 divisions and a turnover of more than £900m, delivering construction projects across the UK.

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 3:45pm (Early finish)

About the role

Join our Modular Quality Team as a Quality Advocate. You will help improve our Right‑First‑Time results, set up strong quality processes, and make sure our products meet all standards and customer requirements.

What you’ll do
