Job Title: Quality Engineer – Onshore Land Substation (Civils)

Location: Remote (UK-based) with 2–3 days/week travel to London

Duration: April 2025 – August 2028

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering to join our team supporting an onshore land substation package. This is a long-term contract role embedded within the package management team for a major infrastructure project.

Requirements:

1. Civil engineering background or demonstrable experience within civil infrastructure projects.
2. Prior experience on onshore substation or major infrastructure projects.
3. Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and processes.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as the key interface for contractor Quality Assurance (QA) within the work package.
2. Review and provide feedback on contractor deliverables in line with the project quality requirements.
3. Implement the project Quality Plan within the scope of the substation civils package.
4. Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with QA procedures.
5. Manage and follow up on non-conformances, ensuring proper closure and documentation.
6. Conduct and support quality audits.
7. Manage and coordinate Quality Control (QC) resources to support scope execution.
8. Report regularly to the Project QA Manager on quality metrics, risks, and issues.
