Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lincoln, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive the highest quality standards across the production process. You will develop and implement quality control protocols, perform audits, and collaborate with engineering, production and supply chain teams to enable continuous improvement.

The role requires NVQ level 4–5 in engineering or equivalent, an auditor qualification, and at least 3 years of quality engineering experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to uphold standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Analyze data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the design and development of new products to ensure quality standards are met from the outset.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality assurance practices and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality engineering.
