Job summary

Peak International Group, headquartered at Inchinnan, Renfrew, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the global Quality team. You will drive supplier quality performance, lead investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure products meet high standards.

You will collaborate across Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering, supporting audits, FAI activities and continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Experience managing supplier quality in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Strong investigation and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience leading supplier audits and development.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance and drive improvement initiatives across the supply base.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Operations.
• Lead investigations into quality concerns and supplier-related issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive improvements in products, processes, and supplier performance.
• Support New Product Introductions through First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.

Quality Engineer

Location: Peak International Group HQ- Inchinnan, Renfrew

Due to internal promotion, Peak International Group are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to join our growing Quality team at our global headquarters in Inchinnan, Renfrew.

This is an exciting opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working closely with suppliers and stakeholders, leading investigations, solving complex problems, and driving continuous improvement across a global manufacturing business. The role will support both manufacturing and supplier operations, ensuring products consistently meet the high standards our customers expect.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality across our manufacturing and supplier network. Working collaboratively across Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design Engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing supplier quality performance and driving improvement initiatives across the supply base.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Operations.
• Leading investigations into quality concerns, non-conformances, and supplier-related issues.
• Conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Supporting supplier audits and supplier development activities.
• Analysing quality data and identifying trends to improve products, processes, and supplier performance.
• Supporting new product introductions through First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and enhancing quality systems and procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• Supplier Management Experience with the ability to influence and improve supplier performance.
• Experience within a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Stakeholder Management Skills, building effective working relationships across multiple functions and external partners.
• Investigation Skills, with experience identifying, analysing, and resolving quality issues.
• Root Cause Analysis Expertise, using structured methodologies to drive permanent corrective actions.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading supplier audits and development
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
