Job summary

Infocus Resources is seeking a Quality Engineer to implement QA/QC processes at the operational level. You will work with production teams to ensure products meet defined quality standards and support CAPA and audits on site.

Security clearance (BPSS) is required; eligibility may be affected by birthplace, nationality, or residency. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified operator and/or Graduate.
• Quality related qualifications and ISO experience.
• Experience in similar role; nuclear and defence sector preferred.
• CSCS - Green Labourer.
• Strong understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and testing.
• FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis familiarity.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Basic statistical and data analysis skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis and support problem-solving activities.
• Monitor production or construction processes for quality compliance.
• Review documentation and verify that materials/products meet specifications.

Job description

A Quality Engineer focuses on implementing quality assurance and quality control processes at the operational level. They work closely with production or project teams to ensure products or services meet defined quality standards.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility criteria: Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute inspection and testing procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support problem-solving activities.
• Monitor production or construction processes for quality compliance.
• Review documentation and verify that materials/products meet specifications.
• Support audits and quality system implementations.
• Assist in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.

Role Requirements:

• Professionally qualified operator and/or Graduate.
• Quality related qualifications and Industry experience ie ISO
• Experience of similar role, preferred in relevant sector (ie Nuclear and Defence)

• Knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 9001, industry-specific).
