Job summary

Adient plc in Burton-On-Trent is seeking a quality engineering professional to coordinate and execute the quality function for engineering and technical projects, ensuring product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.

The role covers APQP process completion, PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines, gauge concept development, supplier engagement, and participation in SDTs and internal audits, with responsibility for training Quality and Production personnel on program requirements.

Qualifications

• Coordinates quality function of an engineering/technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
• Completes and documents all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
• Prepares and submits PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines.
• Develops gauge concepts and procures gauges for programs.

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems, potentially traveling to customer or supplier locations.
• Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDTs).
• Assist in internal audits as required.
• Train Quality and Production personnel in quality requirements relating to specific programs.
• Support Product Introduction through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.
