Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership in Blandford is seeking a Quality Engineer to act as the technical voice for quality, driving investigations to root cause and shaping the site-wide quality culture. You will engage with customers, coordinate visits and audits, and support PPAP/APQP activities for new products.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing quality, experience with 8D/5 Why, GD&T, and knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 9001. Auditor qualifications or training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
• Experience leading customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Practical use of 8D, 5 Why and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 advantageous.
• Auditor qualification, lead auditor training, or experience with SPC and MSA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary quality contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Lead customer complaint investigations using 8D and 5 Why methodologies.
• Coordinate customer visits, audits and quality reviews.
• Support PPAP preparation and APQP activities for new product introduction.
• Monitor and analyse customer PPM, scrap and rework performance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce non-conformances.
