Owen Daniels in Andover is seeking a Quality Engineer for a well-established manufacturing client. You will own product quality, lead inspections, investigate issues and drive corrective actions to improve reliability and customer satisfaction.

In this permanent role, you will support new product introductions, maintain quality records, and implement robust processes using tools like 8D, FMEA and SPC. A strong manufacturing background and proactive continuous improvement approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality compliance.

Responsabilités

• Lead QA activities including inspections, testing and compliance checks.
• Investigate defects and customer issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Job Description

• Lead product quality assurance activities, including inspection, testing, verification and compliance checks.
• Investigate product defects, customer complaints and reliability issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Support the introduction of new products by helping teams identify potential risks and establish effective quality processes.
• Produce and maintain quality reports, records and procedures, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• A background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a similar technical role, supported by relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, APQP, PPAP and FMEA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with the ability to challenge existing processes and make evidence-based recommendation
