Job summary

The Butchers Recruiter is seeking a Quality Controller for their North Yorkshire site. You will inspect raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure weight, packaging, labeling and date coding meet standards, while upholding HACCP and GMP compliance.

Working 4 days on, 2 days off, you’ll collaborate with production, hygiene and engineering teams to drive food safety, traceability and continuous improvement. A reliable commute and prior QA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or similar production environment.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene requirements and manufacturing standards.
• Experience completing production checks, maintaining accurate records and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, products during production and finished goods to ensure standards.
• Check weights, specifications, packaging, labelling and date coding for accuracy.
• Carry out CCP, GMP and hygiene checks and escalate food safety risks.
• Complete inspection records, compliance documentation and traceability checks.
• Investigate non-conforming products and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, hygiene, engineering and technical teams to maintain HACCP standards.
