You will report to the Production Manager, and the working hours are dependent on department.

Job Purpose:

  • To assist the shift supervisor allocate production operatives to machines and monitor the production quality throughout the shift.
  • To provide production controller with support as & when required.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out a number of 2 hourly checks on all production machines as required.
  • Supervise sorting operations, ensure associated paperwork is completed & report progress to production control.
  • Liaise with shift supervisors on all production problems.
  • Assist with supervising packing personnel required in the department ensuring that required standards are being adhered to.
  • Check BRC compliance at the begining of every shift.
  • Comply with quality standards as set by the Company and to co-operate with both internal and external audits as required.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health and safety, quality and environmental management.
  • Ensure that the department is safe and clean during and at the end of each shift.
  • Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
  • The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description.   • Proven experience in a fast moving production environment.
  • Quality control experience would be advantageous.
