Job summary

Morrisons seeks a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller to help ensure food safety and legality across products and packaging. You will use systems to record data, demonstrating traceability and due diligence for the site and company.

Expect to perform temperature probing, swabbing, and weight/size checks, while aiming to minimise losses and protect sales. Full training is provided; prior manufacturing or food handling experience is welcomed but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be given.
• You will be working in varying temperatures (around 8 degrees and below) and must be able to adapt.

Responsibilities

• Make routine checks on products and packaging to ensure food safety and legality.
• Record information using relevant systems to demonstrate traceability and due diligence for the site and company.
• Escape non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.
• Perform temperature probing, swabbing, and weight/size checks as part of quality control.

More About The Role

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Quality Controller you'll make routine checks on products and packaging to make sure that they're correct from a food safety and legality perspective. You'll use relevant systems to record information and demonstrate traceability and due diligence on behalf of the site and company, and will escape non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.

Your quality checks may involve temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks, and you'll be working towards minimising and preventing any loss of sales or profit whilst ensuring customer requirements are continually met.

Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given. You'll be the kind of person who:
