They have worked on a large range of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) projects across the UK. Their in-house Digital Engineering capability has grown in line with government and client expectations. During your apprenticeship, you will be part of the Technical Team, working under the guidance and support of a dedicated mentor who will help you develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the role. You will also work closely with colleagues across production, engineering, and quality functions, gaining valuable experience in a collaborative manufacturing environment. You will begin by learning about FP McCann's products, manufacturing processes, and the services the business provides. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you will carry out product testing and inspections to ensure products consistently meet quality standards and customer specifications. You will learn how to identify defects, investigate quality issues, and support problem-solving activities to help maintain high manufacturing standards. You will assist the production and engineering teams with day-to-day operations, including supporting material management, stock control, deliveries, and general site activities that contribute to efficient production. You will also gain experience in the safe use, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment, ensuring all testing is completed in accordance with approved procedures. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will develop an understanding of quality management systems, industry regulations, and BSI‑accredited standards, learning how these frameworks support the production of safe, reliable, and compliant products. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will play an active role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, consistently, and to specification while developing the practical skills and technical knowledge needed for a successful career in quality assurance.

Working Week: Monday to Friday- You will work 8 hour shifts (30 minute unpaid lunch break) scheduled between 6:00am and 6:00pm, with shift patterns varying to meet business needs.
