Job summary

Cytiva in Cardiff is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform in-process testing and inspections of medical devices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role reports to the Quality Control Manager and is on-site in Cardiff with a weekly rotating shift pattern (6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm).

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and delivery.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing facility or similar.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery.
• Able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment according to Work Instructions, targets and safety requirements.
• Document and report test results; promptly report non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for a safe, efficient environment.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-process testing and inspections of medical devices to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive technician who can effectively manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and is part of the Quality Control department located in Cardiff and will be an on-site role working on a shift pattern. The shift pattern is 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm on a weekly rotation.

What You Will Do

• Operate testing equipment effectively according to the Work Instructions, hourly targets and safety requirements
• Document and report test results, ensuring that non-conformances are reported accurately and promptly when they occur.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Who You Are

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility or similar
• Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision, using own initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly motivated, with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proficient in using measurement tools and inspection equipment
• Previous experience within a quality control environment/ ISO 9001/ ISO13485/ Pharma regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Able to make reasoned and objective decisions where necessary
