Job summary

Kingdom People Limited is recruiting a Quality Control Operative in Blackburn for a 39.5-hour work week. Basic rate £13 per hour with overtime at £19.50 per hour. The role is office-based with site production and warehouse elements, and includes full PPE.

Temp to perm after 12 weeks. Parking on site, potential progression, and occasional events are offered. Applicants should have experience in quality control within food manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with GMP/HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Daily verification and failsafe monitoring on CCP, Checkweighers and Packaging verification systems.
• Carry out start up and end of shift checks on all packing lines.
• Carry out WIP and finished goods checks against agreed QAS.
• Identify and report quality and food safety issues, escalating where necessary.
• Raising of non conformance reports with evidence collection.
• Raising of food safety incidents, plastic breakages, etc with evidence collection.
• Inspection and verification of packaging and raw materials against supplier specifications.
• Verification and checks on bulk deliveries before unload.
• Conduct factory audits: GMP, QMS and Glass & Plastics.
• Weekly calibration of scales and checkweighers.
• Collection of samples and conducting swabbing across site.
• Conducting of taste panels.
• Support training and awareness relating to food safety and quality standards.
• Additional tasks as required by QA Supervisor/Technical Manager.

Previous experience in Quality Control within Food Manufacturing is essential

Hours: 39.5 per week. Mon - Thurs 06:50 - 15:00, Fri 05:50-12:10

Temporary to permanent position after 12 weeks available

Kingdom People are recruiting for Quality Control Operative to work at one of our client's locations. It is mainly based in the office, however the element of shop floor presence in food production and warehouse environment is required. Full PPE will have to be worn (hair net, boots, overall, ear plugs - all provided). The client operates in ambient production environment.

The role

Quality Control Operative will be expected to do the following tasks (list is not exhaustive):

Requirements

Quality Control Operative ideally need to fulfil the following requirements:

• Understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety principles

Be able to work 8 hr shift

Previous experience in Quality Control within Food Manufacturing is essential

Being able to commute to Blackburn (BB1 3BS)
