NMB Minebea UK in Lincoln is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead a 30+ engineers and inspectors team, driving world-class quality, safety, and delivery standards in a precision engineering setting.

You will embed aerospace regulatory compliance (ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP) and use 8D/5 Why for root-cause analyses while delivering strong KPI improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a quality function in a highly regulated environment.
• Background in aerospace QA/QC with ISO 9001/AS9100/NADCAP knowledge.
• Hands-on leadership on the shop floor and across the business.

Our exclusive client NMB Minebea UK, part of a global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is renowned for precision engineering and the production of mission‑critical components. This Quality Control Manager role is based in Lincoln. You will lead the Quality Control department (30+ engineers and inspectors), ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement while embedding a culture of world‑class manufacturing and aerospace regulatory compliance across the site. As the Quality Control Manager, your responsibilities will include: Demonstrating strong leadership to organise the Quality Control function, set clear expectations, and
ensure every area understands its role in quality assurance, quality control, and compliance deliverables Performing training gap analysis across all quality functions and establishing clear strategies to upskill the team Maintaining a hands‑on, visible presence on the shop floor and across the business Ensuring full company compliance with aerospace QMS procedures (ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, etc.) Supporting inspectors in driving best‑practice inspection methods Leading root‑cause analysis investigations using proven problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why Ensuring compliance with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 Overseeing company‑wide environmental compliance procedures to ISO 14001 Driving reduction of non‑conformances, timely resolution of manufacturing/production issues, and effective continuous improvement through regular reporting on NCRs, KPIs, customer issues, shop‑floor deviations/concessions, and supplier performance As the Quality Control Manager you will
bring: Essential Apprenticeship, HNC/D (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline Strong leadership capability with a proven track record of improving team performance Background in quality assurance and quality control within a highly regulated environment Ability to lead a large quality function Demonstrable experience resolving manufacturing issues using 8D, 5 Why, and similar methodologies Hands‑on approach to leadership with a willingness to be visible across all areas Very strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) Inspection and metrology experience Competent in all Microsoft packages with strong overall IT skills Desirable Degree in an engineering discipline Aerospace manufacturing environment experience Experience with aerospace standards such as AS9100, AS9102, NADCAP, etc. Knowledge of aerospace regulatory compliance (CAA, EASA, FAA) Knowledge of machining processes and non‑destructive testing (NDT) procedures Hours of work Day Shift Monday to
