Quality Control Inspector (Part-time) - 6 month FTC

Are you an experienced QC Inspector in the manufacturing sector looking for a temporary part-time role? We are recruiting an enthusiastic and highly organized individual to provide 6 months of maternity leave cover at our Farnborough site. You will be responsible for inspecting machined parts received and ensuring quality standards are met.

The role involves performing quality control inspections of drawn parts before they are transferred to stock, preparing non-conformance reports, and supporting suppliers in continuous improvement efforts. This position reports to the QHSE Director and belongs to the Technologies Group, Europe and Asia.

This is a fixed-term contract working 3 days per week (22.5 hours).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspection of drawn parts upon receipt and before acceptance into stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in supplier audits and reviews related to drawn parts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in a similar manufacturing quality control role.
• Completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience in an ISO9001 certified environment (highly desirable).
• Ability to measure components with high precision using vernier callipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of BS8888 standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
• Hands-on approach with good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
