Job summary

People Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Swindon on a 3-month contract. You will perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections on components and finished products, using calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure conformance with GMP and ISO 13485.

You will complete inspection records, traceability documents and DHRs, identify non-conforming items, and support root-cause investigations while working in a cleanroom environment with a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Reading drawings, work instructions and specifications is essential.
• Competent use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges and go/no-go gauges.
• Understanding quality systems within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 requirements is desirable.
• Knowledge of sampling plans and acceptance criteria such as AQL.
• Experience completing inspection records, batch records andDevice History Records.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections on components and finished products.

• Complete inspection records, batch records and DHRs accurately.
• Verify production paperwork and maintain full product traceability.

• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions as needed.
• Work in controlled/cleanroom environments following contamination-control procedures.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our well-established client based in Swindon on a 3-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and the opportunity to develop your skills within a reputable manufacturing business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Quality Inspector, Quality Control Inspector or Quality Assurance Inspector.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:30 - 17:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Quality Control Inspector are:

• Performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on components and finished products
• Using inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges
• Completing inspection records, batch records, and Device History Records (DHRs) accurately
• Verifying production paperwork and maintaining full product traceability
• Ensuring manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 requirements
• Identifying defects and non-conforming products and ensuring they are quarantined appropriately
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions where required
• Working within controlled and cleanroom environments whilst adhering to contamination-control procedures
• Maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Quality Control Inspector, you will need:

• The ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• Competent use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges
• Understanding of quality systems within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, ISO 13485 requirements
• Familiarity with sampling plans and acceptance criteria such as AQL
• Experience completing inspection records, batch records, and Device History Records accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and communication skills
