Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a QC Inspector to perform hardware inspection to ensure products meet required standards and compliance. The role covers Glenrothes and Livingston sites, with 37 hours per week across four days (Mon-Thu).

You will sample inspect across manufacturing areas, support RCCA on non-conforming material, and liaise with Programme Quality Engineers and the Manufacturing team to resolve workmanship issues.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical drawings
• Experience with metrology and inspection equipment
• Familiarity with AS9100/AS9102 would be advantageous
• Experience using SAP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and decision making to industry standards
• Team player and good communication with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC inspection of hardware to meet required standards and compliance
• Perform sampling inspections across manufacturing areas and product lines
• Provide feedback and engage with RCCA on non-conforming material
• Provide workmanship support to Programme Quality Engineers & Manufacturing team
• Act as first point of contact on workmanship issues
• Engage with key stakeholders and attend team meetings
• Flexibility to work between Glenrothes and Livingston sites

Location: Glenrothes / Livingston – flexible between both sites (On Site role)

Hours:

37 hours per week over 4 days (Mon-Thur)

Summary of Role:

The key responsibility of this role will be to carry out QC Inspection of hardware to ensure that product meets required standards and are compliant in all aspects.

Main Duties:

• Performing sampling inspection to the required standards across all manufacturing areas and product lines.
• Providing feedback and engaging with RCCA of non-conforming material.
• Providing workmanship support to the Programme Quality Engineers & Manufacturing team
• First point of contact on any workmanship issues.
• Engagement with key stakeholders within the organisation.
• Attending team meetings
• Flexibility between Glenrothes & Livingston sites may be required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Candidates shall have the ability to manage their workload while retaining a methodical approach and good housekeeping practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to make knowledge-based decisions to Industry Standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings, use metrology & inspection equipment.
• Team player who has the ability to communicate with other functions within Raytheon as required.
• Candidates should be motivated and willing to develop within the role.
• Good planner and organiser of work – ability to work under own initiative with minimum guidance.
• Ability to work to timescales and meet commitments with flexibility to change priorities when needed.
• Microsoft Office Skills: Excel, Word.

Desired Skills:

• Training to, and a good working knowledge of, Industry Standards J-Std-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC-A-620.
• Familiarity with the requirements of AS9100 & AS9102 would be advantageous
• Experience in the use of SAP systems
