Job summary

Weetabix is seeking a Compliance & Quality Assurance Auditor to join our Technical - Q&C team in Deeside. In this hands-on role, you will carry out internal, customer and GMP audits, ensuring actions are closed on time and products meet safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate hygiene, allergen and production checks, review records, investigate quality concerns and support continuous improvement across the site. The role includes 4-on-4-off days and nights.

Qualifications

• English and Maths with PC experience
• Experience in food industry preferred
• Food hygiene and GMP auditing techniques advantageous
• Initiative and judgement in identifying and correcting quality issues
• Ability to stop production when faults are found

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal, customer and GMP audits, ensuring actions are completed and closed within agreed timescales.
• Conduct quality, due diligence, hygiene, allergen and production checks throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with HACCP, IFS, the QMS and site procedures.
• Monitor production activities to ensure products are safe, legal and meet customer specifications, investigating out-of-specification issues.
• Review and audit quality records and documentation to ensure due diligence.
• Carry out food reviews, investigate quality concerns and escalate issues as required.
• Coordinate microbiological, analytical, nutritional and shelf-life testing; report non-conforming results and support corrective actions.
• Inspect production areas and equipment after cleaning; verify hygiene and fitness for use.
• Calibrate laboratory, weighing and process equipment per schedule.
• Set up checkweighers, metal detectors and product coding systems to ensure compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints, raise concessions and support continuous improvement.
• Provide quality support to production teams and attend daily meetings; support warehouse QA activities.
• Undertake other duties as requested by Line Manager and uphold Food Safety and Product Quality.
