Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Quality Champion for its site in Chatteris to ensure bouquets and products meet customer specifications and quality standards before leaving site.

This hands-on role suits someone with excellent attention to detail who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety. Peak-period flexibility is required.

Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Quality Champion for one of the largest providers of fresh flowers to major supermarket chains throughout the UK.

Staffline is recruiting for a Quality Champion in Chatteris.

Local candidates from Chatteris and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

Transport is available for workers travelling from Peterborough.

The rate of pay is £13.71 per hour.

The rate of pay is:

• Day shift is paid at £13.71 per hour
• Overtime is paid at £17.14per hour

The standard shift pattern is between 10 and 12 hours per day, 4 days per week. Typical shifts will fall on either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.

Working hours:

• 07:30am to 06:30pm

Please note you must be flexible and willing to work on night shift during Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day peaks.

Your Time at Work

We are looking for a Quality Champion to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our flower bouquets and products meet customer specifications and quality standards before leaving site.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with excellent attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect bouquets and flower products against customer specifications.
• Carry out quality checks using company standards and checklists.
• Identify and report quality issues promptly.
• Communicate findings clearly with production and quality teams.
• Help ensure products that do not meet specification are corrected or reworked.
• Escalate significant quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement by highlighting recurring quality issues.
• Maintain accurate quality records where required.

What We're Looking For

• Basic IT skills are desirable
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Experience within the fresh produce or flower industry is advantageous but not essential.
