Job summary

Samworth Brothers, Leicester, is seeking a Quality Auditor Team Leader to guide on-shift Quality Auditors, ensuring checks, audits and investigations are completed on time and to the right standard. You will work closely with Production, Technical, Hygiene and Engineering teams to keep products safe, legal and high quality.

You will lead the auditing schedule, manage non-conformances, investigations, GMP, traceability and HACCP related tasks, and support calibration and internal audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality or technical roles in the food industry.
• Understanding of BRC, retailer standards, HACCP and food safety.
• Experience supervising, coaching or leading others.
• Strong communication and ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise Quality Auditors so all checks and audits happen on schedule.
• Ensure non-conformances are understood, corrected and followed up.
• Carry out investigations into customer complaints, out-of-spec results and micro or chemical issues.
• Complete GMP, traceability, hygiene and fabrication audits and report findings.
• Manage testing schedules for raw materials, products and the environment.
• Support validation, HACCP improvements and internal audits. Keep calibration records up to date and organise external calibration when needed.
• Support team development through coaching, guidance and performance management.
