Job summary

C&K Meats, part of the CPC Foods Group and Premium Food Group, is a British pork producer based in Eye, Suffolk. We are recruiting a Quality Auditor (QA) to support our growing technical department in a factory-based role.

You will inspect products against specifications, conduct audits and organoleptic testing, and record data accurately. The role requires cooperation with management to ensure food safety and quality across production lines.

Qualifications

• Previous QA experience essential in a food manufacturing setting.
• Experience in fast-moving food manufacturing environments desirable.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail with accurate data recording.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Able to work with initiative and be flexible.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA activities and inspections throughout production against procedures.
• Conduct internal audits, organoleptic testing and swabbing.
• Record data relating to product conformity accurately and promptly.
• Carry out admin tasks for the department such as filing and archiving.
• Highlight issues that could impact food safety, quality or legality.
• Report health and safety hazards and ensure equipment is safe to use.
• Cooperate with site management and the workforce.
• Adapt to changing business requirements and ensure smooth factory running.
• Comply with health and safety rules and company SOPs.

Quality Auditor (QA)

It is now part of the wider CPC Foods Group and international food company Premium Food Group.

We are recruiting a Quality Auditor (QA)to support our growing technical department.

In this factory based technical role, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing products against specifications through all stages of production. You will ensure all products conform to quality standards and are to our customers' specifications.

Duties in this role:

• Perform a wide range of QA activities and functions throughout the manufacturing process, and in different areas of the factory, including the routine inspection and verification of products according to procedure, against specification and to quality standards. This will include internal audits, organoleptic testing and swabbing

• Conduct product inspections off-site as and when required

• Accurately record data relating to product conformity in a timely manner

• General administrative tasks for the department including filing and archiving records

• Highlight to management any issue that could compromise food safety, quality or legality

• Report any health and safety hazards within working areas

• Ensure damaged equipment is not used and any defects are reported to engineers immediately

• Fully cooperate with site management and the workforce

• A flexible approach to work in order to meet changing business requirements

• Carry out all duties as deemed necessary by managerial or supervisory staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the factory

• Compliance with health and safety rules at all times

• Compliance with company policies, practices and standard operating procedures

Our ideal candidate:

• Previous experience in a QA role is essential
