Job summary

Nature’sWayFoods in Chichester is seeking a Quality Auditor to safeguard product quality and safety. You will report to the QA Manager, ensuring GMP, procedures and specifications are met and auditing/closing non-conformances.

Role requires Food Safety Level 2, HACCP knowledge, auditing experience, and strong communication skills. Competitive base salary up to £29,350 with annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• QA or similar experience within the food industry
• Foodsafety Level 2
• HACCP
• Basic understanding of Microbiology
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety compliance
• Working knowledge of auditing techniques
• Computer literacy and strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure that product quality & safety standards are maintained at all times and that the product manufactured meets customer specifications and is legally compliant in all aspects
• Ensure that our factories are audit-ready at all times and GMP standards maintained throughout the manufacturing site
• Conduct scheduled auditing of safety, legality and GMP standards of the site
• Carry out regular documented checks on all areas and lines of manufacture and packing, including paperwork checks
• Carry out validation and verification of processes according to schedule
• Monitor lines during production and report any issues related to quality or product safety
• Carry out sampling, checks, tests, swabbing and other conformance requirements according to schedules
• Conduct documented investigations and close out non-conformances using Root Cause Analysis
• Complete records and logs for all activities according to procedure
• Prepare, audit and file paperwork for lines & mixing room
• Setup and conduct daily quality assessments, including feedback and trending for operational teams
• Control & documentation of On Hold and other non-conforming products
• Pest controls where required
• Carry out specified projects
