Job summary

Kerry Portbury is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure food safety, quality and customer requirements across the site. You will provide technical support, link Technical and Operations teams, and drive a quality-first culture.

You'll investigate complaints, monitor KPIs, support HACCP compliance, audits and continuous improvement, and maintain accurate records. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong collaboration with production teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality, Technical, Specifications or Food Manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience investigating issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Quality Management Systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to ensure all food safety, quality and customer requirements are met and improved.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations and Technical teams to promote a strong quality culture.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and manufacturing standards.
• Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics and KPIs.
• Review taste panel results and drive improvement actions.
• Support factory audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain accurate reports, records and customer documentation.
• Promote safe working practices and support Health & Safety requirements.
• Work with operational teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance quality standards.
