Job summary

IPL Schoeller is seeking a QA Technician at the Rotherham site (S61) to champion quality across incoming materials, testing regimes and finished stock checks. You will work with the Quality Team Leader and Production Supervisors to raise issues, implement improvements and ensure products meet the highest standards.

The role requires proactive quality focus, strong organisation and good IT skills, with training provided where needed. Rotating shifts support multiple production windows.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality control processes from a previous role.
• Experience with measurements, destructive testing and non-destructive testing is desirable.
• Good communication and the ability to engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection and approval of materials at the point of delivery.
• Perform first-off, daily and weekly testing and inspections according to test schedules, including destructive and non-destructive testing.
• Work with the Technical Manager and Production Supervisors to raise quality concerns and prioritise improvements.
• Coordinate rework activities with the Logistics team for non-conforming products.
• Perform checks on finished stock in the yard and produce certificates for each load.
• Control samples stock and prepare samples for customers.
• Test material trials for new HDPE formulas prior to mass usage.
• Inspect product trials to verify new moulds before introduction.
• Attend daily pulse meetings and update on quality issues and actions.
• Advocate good housekeeping and 5S standards in the QC area with safe practices.
