Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to assure quality across processes and projects. Responsibilities

• Perform goods inward, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Verify manufacturing reports and data books for accuracy and completeness (welding and NDT certificates).
• Document non-conformances in NCR systems.
• Attend FMEA team meetings and project risk reviews.
• Plan and conduct process readiness and surveillance audits.
• Oversee calibration system effectiveness and external calibration activities.
• Review and update controlled documents as required.
• Participate in improvement teams to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and verify project and business quality records and reports for internal and external customers.
• Liaise with Third Party Inspectors and Client Representatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform goods inward, in-process, and final inspection services, ensuring product quality and compliance.
• Verify manufacturing reports and data books, such as welding and NDT certificates, for accuracy and completeness.
• Document product and process non-conformance issues accurately in the company's NCR systems.
• Attend and contribute to FMEA team meetings and project risk reviews, supporting risk management processes.
• Plan, execute, and report process readiness and surveillance audits as per defined requirements.
• Ensure the ongoing effectiveness and accuracy of the calibration system and associated processes, including external calibration activities and equipment calibration.
• Review and change controlled documents as necessary, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Actively participate in improvement teams/projects, promoting waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete and verify all project and business-required quality records and reports, meeting internal and external customer needs.
• Liaise with Third Party Inspectors and Client Representatives, maintaining professional relationships and addressing quality-related requirements.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 preferred.
• Proficiency in related IT systems and platforms,
• Proven experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment, with a focus on quality assurance.
• Willingness to travel within the UK for supplier witness activities and support.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in a engineering-related discipline, or working towards a recognised qualification.
• Desired CWSIP certification.
