Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an NDT Technician in Southampton to apply the most effective inspection techniques and ensure safe working conditions. You will perform risk assessments, conduct equipment tests, and report findings clearly to supervision, staying within specifications.

You'll work to meet deadlines, follow Oceaneering procedures and client requirements, and contribute to the safety, environmental, and quality systems. Some roles may require travelling within the UK as needed.

Qualifications

• PCN L2 UT 3.1 qualification required.
• PCN/SNT L2 Dye Penetrant (Liquid penetrant) required.
• PCN/SNT L2 MPI required.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
• Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
• Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor.
• Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
• Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
• Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
