Working Hours:

12-hour shifts, 4 days on - 4 days off pattern, alternating between 4 day shifts (6am – 6pm) and 4 night shifts (6pm – 6am).

Workplace Environment

This role reports to the QA Manager and is based in the production/warehouse areas within a modern food manufacturing environment. You may work in other areas of the business as required.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. If you’re enthusiastic about manufacturing and supplying quality nutrition, this role is for you! You will ensure all products and food safety processes meet requirements, support continuous improvement, and promote best practices to ensure quality standards are met.

What You’ll Do
  • Health, Safety & Welfare: Promote a safe working environment and support a safety-first culture.
  • Food Safety & Legality: Maintain product integrity and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Quality: Strive for high standards in products, people, and plant.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication to promote teamwork and alignment.
  • Planning & Control: Contribute to site strategy and business targets.
  • Cost & Efficiencies: Maintain standards to support growth and performance, seeking continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the food industry, ideally in Quality/Technical.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene certification.
  • HACCP qualification or experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (desirable).
  • Knowledge of BRCGS, internal auditing, and risk assessment (desirable).
  • High attention to detail, teamwork, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
