Job summary

Jelly Technical in Leek, England is seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Technician to ensure every product leaving the site meets safety, quality and regulatory standards.

You will work closely with shop floor teams to uphold food safety, GMP/good manufacturing practices, and environmental monitoring programmes, supporting audits and reporting anomalies as they arise across shift levels.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Food Safety & Hygiene is required.
• Level 2 HACCP certification is required.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, BRCGS standards and factory compliance is expected.
• Understanding allergen management and environmental swabbing protocols.
• Experience with audit processes and reporting.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication across shift teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site audits including GMP, glass, hard plastic, and critical control points.
• Execute environmental testing schedules such as line swabs, water sampling and allergen validation.
• Conduct weekly chemical dosing checks, titrations and routine instrument calibrations.
• Support internal investigations on non-conformances.
• Assist in collecting and reporting crucial data.

You will collaborate closely with shop floor teams to ensure technical excellence in product quality, food safety and regulatory compliance. You will support internal audits and environmental monitoring programmes, reporting anomalies when they arise.
