Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join a well-established food manufacturing company in Carrickfergus. This role is crucial in ensuring products are produced in compliance with quality, hygiene, and legal standards. The technician will work closely with the production team, monitor processes, and conduct tests to maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure product quality throughout all processing stages.
• Conduct microbiological swab testing, sniff testing, and other relevant tests, maintaining accurate records.
• Take samples at specified intervals and ensure they meet laboratory testing requirements.
• Identify and address pest control issues.
• Perform weekly calibration of temperature probes and record findings.
• Adhere to quality standards and contribute to audits.
• Act as Quality Supervisor in their absence.

Quality Control:

• Inspect incoming raw materials for compliance with specifications.
• Record and monitor temperatures of incoming products, during processing, and before dispatch.
• Maintain temperature control to ensure product shelf life.
• Perform regular checks on the production floor for adherence to standards.
• Evaluate factory cleanliness and compliance.
• Monitor chill temperatures and address irregularities.

Customer Requirements:

• Interact professionally with visitors.
• Monitor production for potential risks to safety.
• Ensure packaging materials meet standards.
• Enforce customer specifications and halt production when deviations occur.
• Reject non-compliant products or materials.
