Our Clipper Teas 24/7 manufacturing site is based in Beaminster, Dorset. We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to join our small team dedicated to maintaining high standards of product safety, legality, integrity, and quality.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for executing daily activities critical to the Quality Assurance Department, providing technical guidance, supporting other departments, and contributing to the development of a Quality Culture.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspecting and signing off Goods Inwards documentation, sampling, and testing raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Ensuring raw materials, packaging, and finished products pass appropriate checks before release, including HACCP CCP control measures and monitoring.
• Setting up tea tasting products and equipment in the QA Laboratory for employees, visitors, and customers as needed.
• Commissioning samples for external laboratory analysis, managing submission forms, lab sampling tables, sample labels, and recording test results in SAP.
• Assisting in new product development.
• Monitoring product safety, legality, integrity, and quality daily, with documented checks.
• Checking weigher product setup on Comscales, monitoring, and control.
• Taking appropriate action on non-compliance issues affecting product safety, legality, integrity, or quality, and escalating as necessary.
• Identifying and reporting non-conforming products, ensuring proper handling, labeling, storage, segregation, and disposal.
• Reporting deviations from company procedures, including site security and food fraud, to the QMS team.
• Maintaining hygiene standards (GMPs) across production areas.
• Managing SAP Raw Material processes such as sampling, grade changes, retro certification, and stock management.
• Performing blend build checks and approvals, tasting, and releasing flavor granules.
• Supporting audits (IFS, FT, Organic, Internal).
• Managing factory tools and SharePoint QMS documents.

Ideal candidates will have around 2+ years of QA experience and knowledge of a Quality Management System, with familiarity in:

• Implementing and maintaining IFS Higher Status or BRC Grade AA standards
• Food Quality and Safety Legislation and Standards, GMP, Weights & Measures, Quality Systems (BRC, ISO9001), Internal Audits
