Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse to elevate governance standards across our services. Working under the Clinical Governance Lead Nurse, you will provide assurance and hands-on support to ensure safe, auditable practice.

This UK-wide role involves regular travel and overnight stays, with duties spanning audits, documentation, training support, and inspection readiness for CQC, CIW and Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN.
• Post-registration experience in community, social care and/or complex needs settings.
• Strong understanding of delegation, competency-based assessment and risk management.
• Confident producing clear audit reports and constructively challenging to improve practice.
• Organised, resilient and comfortable managing a varied UK-wide workload.
• Willing to travel regularly across England and Wales (including overnight stays).
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undertake).

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and hands-on support across services, focusing on governance.
• Strengthen documentation and evidence (protocols, review dates, monitoring and escalation instructions).
• Spot risks early and help services put controls in place fast.
• Help embed delegated healthcare training and competency sign-off processes.
• Maintain accurate, auditable competency records and refresher plans.
• Align training records and inspection evidence with Learning & Development.
• Complete audits/assurance visits and produce clear reports.
• Coach teams to improve day-to-day governance and practice.
• Ensure services are ready to evidence compliance for CQC/CIW/Ofsted.
• Monitor supervision completion and escalate concerns through governance routes.
