Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Swansea
Job Type: Full-time Permanent

TAY Recruitment are proud to partner with a leading manufacturing business based in Swansea in the search for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take ownership of quality assurance and environmental compliance across the business.


As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all internal and external quality standards are met, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining customer satisfaction across the board. You will oversee the quality of products manufactured and ensure that processes align with international quality and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures, standards, and specifications.

Ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal quality protocols.

Oversee all operational activities that impact product quality, including internal and external PPM.

Lead investigations into quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Supervise and support inspectors, technicians, and quality personnel.

Conduct periodic quality control checks across production lines.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.

Develop and review FMEAs and production plans to ensure product quality from inception.

Audit supplier materials and perform goods-in inspections to ensure compliance.

Maintain production reliability through process oversight and final output verification.

Liaise effectively across departments to align quality objectives.

Prepare management and technical reports, and support customer-specific data requirements.

Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors and accreditation bodies.

Maintain and update all quality documentation, reports, and statistical analyses.

Identify training needs and support staff development in quality and compliance.

Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory standards, including ISO9001 and ISO14001.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in a senior Quality Assurance or Quality Control role.

In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.

Familiarity with industry certifications, including ISO9001, ISO14001, UL, and IPC.

Experience in APQP, PPAP, and ISIR processing.

Strong analytical and statistical abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles.

Competency in reading and interpreting technical specs and schematics.

Excellent IT proficiency (MS Office, databases).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Lead auditor certification is highly desirable.

Certification in Quality Control (e.g., ISO 9000) is a strong advantage.
