Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Deputy Quality Assurance Manager to uphold exceptional food safety and quality standards across a multi-site manufacturing site in the UK. The role supports the QA Manager and operations teams in maintaining rigorous QA processes, audits and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will lead HACCP reviews, manage investigations and corrective actions, and collaborate with Operations to drive quality across the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HACCP Level 3 qualification
  • Food Safety qualification required
  • Experience in internal auditing
  • Previous food manufacturing QA experience
  • Knowledge of BRCGS standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational ability

Responsibilities

  • Support Food Safety & Quality Management Systems across the site
  • Assist with BRCGS and external audits
  • Support HACCP reviews and meetings
  • Manage investigations and corrective actions
  • Coach and develop QA team
  • Conduct traceability and recall exercises
  • Collaborate with Operations, Hygiene and QC teams

Job Description

This Deputy Quality Assurance Manager role will support the QA Manager and wider operational teams in maintaining exceptional food safety and quality standards across the site.

The successful Deputy Quality Assurance Manager will play a key role in supporting BRCGS compliance, HACCP systems, internal audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities for the Deputy Quality Assurance Manager include:
  • Supporting Food Safety & Quality Management Systems
  • Assisting with BRCGS and external audits
  • Supporting HACCP reviews and meetings
  • Managing investigations and corrective actions
  • Supporting QA team development and coaching
  • Conducting traceability and recall exercises
