Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a passionate Quality Assurance leader to drive food safety, quality and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in the UK. You will oversee the QA function, lead a team across multiple departments and ensure compliance from intake through despatch.

The role requires strong HACCP knowledge, audit management experience and a proactive mindset to embed a robust quality culture and deliver KPI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QA/Quality or Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation and quality management systems.
• Experience hosting customer and third-party audits.
• Strong leadership with coaching and development of teams.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Confident in communicating with customers, auditors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop QA Team Leaders and manage quality from intake to despatch.
• Oversee site QA activities and promote food safety across the factory.
• Support Technical Manager and step in when needed.
• Act as Deputy HACCP Team Leader and drive food safety culture.
• Monitor CCPs, verification checks, and maintain team competence.
• Manage internal audits and keep customer/audit readiness.
• Host customer, retailer, and third-party audits.
• Investigate complaints, identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Produce technical KPI reports and support continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doin

• :Leading and developing the QA Team Leaders, ensuring quality is maintained from intake through to despatch
• .Managing site quality assurance activities and championing food safety throughout the factory
• .Supporting the Technical Manager and stepping in when needed
• .Acting as Deputy HACCP Team Leader and helping drive a strong food safety culture
• .Monitoring CCPs, completing verification checks and ensuring teams remain fully competent
• .Managing internal audits and keeping the site customer and audit ready all year round
• .Hosting customer, retailer and third-party audits with confidence
• .Investigating complaints, identifying root causes and driving meaningful corrective actions
• .Producing technical KPI reports and using data to support continuous improvement
