The OpenPayd platform delivers a suite of banking and payments infrastructure: accounts in over 40 currencies, FX, on/off ramp, international and domestic payments, Open Banking services – all via a single API.

A global network of licences alongside our best‑in‑class tech is why we're trusted by 1000+ enterprise clients to process over $180bn volume annually.

How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?
  • Conduct objective, risk‑based Quality Assurance reviews across customer onboarding and CDD/EDD, periodic and event‑driven customer reviews, transaction monitoring, fraud‑related activities, and payment operational processes.
  • Select and document review samples using a risk‑based methodology, maintaining a clear evidence trail and appropriate independence from the activities under review.
  • Assess the quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of first‑line case handling, investigations, risk assessments, approvals, documentation, and decision‑making.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of relevant first‑line processes and controls, identifying deficiencies, inconsistencies, control weaknesses, and remediation needs.
  • Perform thematic reviews, identify emerging risks and recurring trends, and record and rate findings consistently.
  • Prepare clear, evidence‑based reports, management information, and KPIs for senior management and governance committees.
  • Track remediation actions, validate completed corrective measures before closure, and escalate significant, overdue, or systemic issues appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with first‑line teams, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance Monitoring, and other stakeholders, providing constructive feedback and professional challenge.
  • Support the continuous improvement and risk‑based expansion of the Quality Assurance methodology, review programme, sampling approach, checklists, rating criteria, policies, procedures, controls, guidance, and training.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance Assurance, operational assurance, compliance monitoring, audit, or a similar oversight role, preferably within regulated financial services.
  • Experience conducting file or case reviews, control testing, or operational process reviews and documenting evidence‑based conclusions.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and customer lifecycle management processes.
  • A good understanding of transaction monitoring, fraud controls, payment operations, and broader financial crime controls.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to assess complex cases and operational processes, apply policies and review criteria consistently, and present clear conclusions to different audiences.
  • Experience producing evidence‑based reports and management information, analysing Quality Assurance data, and identifying trends and emerging issues.
  • Experience within fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated financial services environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory expectations and guidance, Quality Assurance methodologies, risk‑based sampling, control testing, and relevant case‑management systems is desirable.
