Quality Assurance Engineer II, Amazon Bazaar

Key job responsibilities

About you:

You are an exceptional quality leader with excellent problem-solving skills and extensive hands-on quality assurance experience. You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, and adept at communicating with all levels. You are curious, love to dive deep, collect data to make well-informed decisions, and use sound judgment even with limited data. You follow the latest technologies, possess strong leadership qualities, and have a track record of delivering great solutions.

Job responsibilities:

QA Engineers test code through various methods, including manual test cases, writing test automation, and using various tools. They employ black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques; understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests or user-level test automation tools. They collaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation, and work with groups like Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to develop test plans and test suites that simulate real-world environments and regression tests. QA Engineers also drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large-sized projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium or Appium
  • Experience in gathering test requirements, creating detailed test plans, and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
