Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer on a fixed-term 6-month contract based in Syston with hybrid working. You will support the UK S/4HANA transformation by coordinating UAT, managing test data, and ensuring high-quality delivery across critical business systems.

You will work closely with stakeholders, IT and QA teams, coordinating test cycles, logging defects, and validating fixes to maintain governance and dashboards for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Test Analyst in project or transformation environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira/Xray (test management, execution tracking, dashboards).
• Solid understanding of SIT and UAT test cycles.
• Experience with defect lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Support the QA Manager in planning and preparing UAT test cycles.
• Import, organise and maintain test scripts within Jira/Xray.
• Review test scenarios for quality, completeness and traceability.
• Coordinate test cycles with business key users and act as go-to contact for test execution.
• Log, triage and manage defects; link failed tests to defects and coordinate retesting.
• Validate fixes and maintain dashboards; ensure governance standards are followed.
