You'll lead quality reviews, develop Quality Plans and drive root-cause investigations, audits and NCR closures, with opportunities to develop into a recognised technical expert on complex, high-value engineering
f you're a Quality Engineer who enjoys actually solving problems and influencing how things are done, rather than simply maintaining paperwork and ticking boxes, this could be a great next move.
D R Newitt are working with an established engineering manufacturer supplying highly engineered products into demanding, regulated industries. They're looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Glasgow operation and take real ownership of quality across customer projects.
This is a role where you'll have plenty of variety and visibility. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, suppliers and customers, helping ensure projects meet the required quality standards from initial contract review through to final delivery.
You'll lead quality reviews for customer projects, develop and communicate Quality Plans, support the resolution of manufacturing and product issues and work directly with customers to agree quality and acceptance requirements.
You'll also conduct audits, drive NCR closure, lead root-cause investigations and help introduce improvements that prevent repeat issues - giving you the opportunity to make a measurable impact rather than simply react to problems.
You'll ideally come from an engineering or manufacturing environment with experience in Quality Assurance and ISO 9001.
Experience with auditing, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement and interpreting engineering/customer specifications will be particularly useful. Exposure to standards such as ASME, NQA-1, API or other highly regulated engineering environments would be advantageous, but the key is having a strong technical quality background and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
A degree or qualification in Engineering/Quality would be beneficial, although significant relevant industry experience will also be considered.
You’ll need the right to work in the UK and be able to obtain Security Clearance.
