Jonathan Lee Group is seeking a Quality Engineer in Milton Keynes to strengthen the QMS and drive continuous improvement across aerospace, medical, industrial and marine sectors. This office-based role offers hands-on quality work, auditing, and problem-solving responsibilities with clear progression.

You will manage AS9100/AS9120-aligned processes, support supplier performance, and liaise with customers to sustain quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality role with investigations, audits and corrective actions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ideally with 5 Whys, 8D or similar methodologies.
  • Practical understanding of auditing and process control, with clear communication and presentation ability.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and mechanical drawings is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of AS9100/AS9120 is advantageous, along with PFMEA, APQP and PPAP, not essential but advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure it remains effective and compliant.
  • Plan and carry out internal, external, and product and process audits, then track outcomes to completion.
  • Liaise with customers and vendors to resolve performance concerns and drive sustained improvements.
  • Lead and manage quality improvement projects, using structured problem‑solving approaches such as 5 Whys and 8D.
  • Compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with AS9102 requirements.
  • Raise, process, and close Corrective Action Requests (CARs), ensuring actions are completed and verified.

Location

The Quality Engineer role is based in Milton Keynes, this is an office based role and therefore you will want to live within a local vicinity.
